What are Ligatures?

When two or more languages are combined to make one glyph.

Where did it originate?

It originated when they would need to communicate with other people who spoke different languages and needed to talk to them somehow so they would combine the two.

I think that now, it is a lot easier to communicate with other people, even when they don’t speak the same language. Everyone has a set language and all tie in together, probably because of ligatures. We have many sources that can help us communicate, unlike how it was then.

Therefore, it is definitely a lot different than how it was. Many people are also bilingual, making it much easier for people to find someone to translate what other people have to say, even in script. Modern day technology help translate and help us understand as well.
